Anyone dared to open the module and have a look inside? I’d love to see the inside…

I’d love to see the inside, but I think prizing it open might be a bit risky. I haven’t got the courage yet!

Nope. That’s the slide lock to hold it in place in the OP-Z (just like the dummy, but this one slides).

It is actually two “halves” so there is a seam along all edges. I’m guessing that seam has hidden clips inside (easy to do up, hard to undo), but it isn’t very easy to twist, so it could even be glued. I posted a pic in an earlier thread of the other side.

My guess is a PCB the size of the module, with 4 connectors soldered on and some surface mount IC’s in the middle off to the side of the switches. This could count for the rigidity of the module. I would expect a 6N137 opto-isolator in there somewhere for the MIDI also.
