@Birthcenter the best tutorials so far. Thanks a lot. I really like the amount of information in each episode. Not to much, but enough to work with and create something new.

What are your topics for the next tutorials? Could you make one focussing on the export? I still have problems with that… :frowning: It dont work based on the other tutorials from youtube.

Yes please make a tutorial on the export, that is the missing piece of the puzzle for me too.
Thanks for the vids!! Great stuff

@Birthcenter Love the videos. Thank you. This helps a lot. Still figuring out to color my asset. It won’t change the color. background color is no problem. Weird…

What color was the asset originally?

oh hey maus! it’s you. looks like we solved it

Now the exported videopak works in the app. Thanks @Birthcenter. The Cameraview seems to be saved on number 6. Have you found out a way to switch between different scenes?

Yeah, you solved it! Thanks

Well I feel like my brain has melted trying to use Unity properly. I’ve installed and deleted multiple version of editor, and maybe that’s my problem.
My main issue now is assets, I get to the point where I assign the animator to an asset and nothing is available. I’ve tried dragging various assets into the hierarchy to no avail. I’ve tried putting them into folders where it appears other assets are, still nothing. Even if I create them on the spot, e.g. “Cube” how do I access these things properly?? I was sure @Birthcenter vids had me understanding this, nope.
Then the other issue is the alerts explaining that various objects are deprecated, guessing I caused this with multiple installations and deletions.
What’s the magical combination of Unity version + Videolab assets version? Stumped

I’ve tried this but I found Unity really confusing, I’d rather use something a bit simpler. Are there any languages (like e.g. processing) for this sort of thing? I can program fine but I find Unity way too bloated, and I don’t care about running it from the OP-Z app.

@Timmy_Put Unity 5.6 and Videolab 1.0, Check out the wiki on Github. @pronk420 Klak is for Unity. No programing is necessary, it’s just connecting modular boxes.

@Esqualo Wow! that syncs really well with the music. Great job!

@Birthcenter, well I tried 5.6.0f3 which looked to be the oldest 5.6 version, installed but when opening the home screen where you begin a project is a grey window and application is unresponsive??
(On a Mac with High sierra 10.13.6)
Frustration ensues…

Teenage Engineers please make this less painful.

@Timmy_Put sorry man. that sucks. If you don’t care about using the OP-Z app you could always move on to the latest videolab beta that works with new Unity. I’m thinking about doing that since I have a laptop now and Unity 5 is getting a little buggy.

I noticed keijiro got some of the assets in his demo video labs here - https://poly.google.com/

There is ton of stuff there. for example this looks like it could make an amazing video pack.

Wow, that is really nice… would make a great video pack indeed!
