Considering that the Z connects to the app via bluetooth…do you think it may have a bluetooth audio out function,hiding somewhere inside,perhaps via a firmware update?
not possible because of the latency!
they skipped that part while developing the Z

Thanks for the quick reply.Such a shame it was skipped…Ah well,back to the USB bluetooth adaptor then.
Not worth it – i tried that using adapters, lags makes it unplayable
I use the op z connected to a windows 10 computer via usb and have the output set to the airpods pro via bluetooth…no latency whatsoever
