The material is a heavy back style cordura. It seems very hearty and there is memory foam inside that really cradles the OP1 with little elastic straps to hold it in place. The “lid” has a recess in the memory foam to accommodate the knobs. It seems really sturdy… would I stand on it or rely solely it for the protection of the OP-1… no, but I feel much better about traveling with it now that there is a little more structure, especially around the knobs. Plus the little cotton canvas “strapping” on the top of the case that the little pouches attach to worked out great to put some buttons to dress it up a little… I’m such a geek!
Thanks for the info flyingace…I will pick one up
I just added this bad boy to the arsenal, well, my first case for the OP-1
This works with OP-1 Deck Saver pretty well.
My first case. Laser cut plywood.
Pretty badly made, but the idea is quite ok so I can upload project for those interested.
Look at this heimplanet Monolith Bag. Have not tried it, but looks as if the OP-1 would fit nicely and its only 35,- EUR

Looks pretty cool! I love the cutout you made for the connectors.
I’d love to have a look at your plans as I’m currently testing a new laser cutter at work

I’m glad you like it! I’ll put some instructables soon and paste it here. Dxf files not allowed to attach on this forum…
Found a new case available from a local Portland company: http://www.sandisacult.com/

All I see is a little orange tag?
Hi all. I ‘made’ this from an art box and some foam. Slight fuss to remove the internal dividers and had to chisel out bits on the inside so that the op-1 actually goes in but not too tricky and a nice fit in the end. Apparently I’m awful at cutting foam as that took me ages to get right but only took about half an hour to do the box bit..
Found a new case available from a local Portland company: http://www.sandisacult.com/just got the charcoal one after that suggestion. Thanks!!Saw it on Instagram on the #op1andchill tag. Just got one and it is very sturdy feel, with padded felt inside. Nice magnetic clasps. Can't quite figure out what the strap is for... but overall double plus good.
I am a lucky owner of this http://monocreators.tumblr.com/post/53416605668/custom-tour-case-for-the-op-1-controller
It rules!
Sammyjams, yours the best. Im use original case, but now really want like you have.
Just bought the ni k1 case, fits great with the decksaver, got it on sale too.
Does need some foam cut to stop movement
Has anyone tried this one from bowoonyc out? It looks amazing http://www.bowoonyc.com/shop/all/teenage-engineering-op-1-canvas-felt-carry-case

Wow! Looks so good
Question for those with the “official” case and a decksaver - how’s the fit? Does the op-1 + decksaver combo fit well in there…?

Fits perfectly - really nice and snug. Has the 2 internal elastic bands to hold the decksaver to the op-1. Great combo.

Awesome, thanks. I had one of the TE cases (purchased via Amazon FR) but it didn’t fit properly - must have been one of the dodgy batch. I now have another one on order from TE directly - my assumption being that the ones they have will actually fit.
