chanson française et conséquences

No OP-1 in this new video, but I thought I might post it here anyway :-)

These videos are all quite charming.

Can you tell me what the name of that “piano” is in that song?

Hello @LibertineLush ! I whish I knew…

I borrowed this instrument to my friend who works as a piano builder. They use this thing to teach young piano makers how to build up a new piano mechanism, but no one was able to tell me how it’s called.
I think it’s a beautiful object, cause you can see how a piano works. You can even study pedal work (see my left hand in the video…). It’s bloody hard to tune it because it takes a piano tuner’s skills to do it so I was happy my friend tuned it for me. But then I had to travel on the train with this f****ng heavy thing so it got a little untuned but I think it sounds ok.
anyway I like it, it’s cool

Exactly, I think it’s beautiful too. Seeing you using it in the video, I immediately thought, “I want one! I want that one! Wait, that would be stealing.”

Some serious French charm in these videos.

cool use of OP-1.

Overall awesome.

I’ve only just seen these! They’re awesome. That single octave piano… oh god… c’est magnifique

Yes, though it doesn’t seem to even have a full octave : I think 3 notes are missing.

I was told this piano was borrowed to David Guetta, he had the feeling it was too complex.

Thanks guys!

This little piano has one octave, from C to C. It’s an amazing and funny instrument but as said above, tuning it is a pain in the ass, unless you know how to tune a real piano…

Is Mari Francois Spanish? She speaks better French than I will ever do, but she seems to speak it with a Spanish accent.

I love all these videos! I am a YouTube subscriber of your so I keep up with your latest! Please keep them coming!

Probably some hard work to hold your arms for 5 min in a stiff position. Would have been hard to play afterwards
; )

^Just shows you its not that easy to perform .
I prefer this version (by you guys @adrigax, I love your stuff).
Though try it on the streets of a busy city.

We try to keep this information secret but, yes, Marie-Françoise is not a real French woman.

actually it’s quite obvious to spot it if French is your first language, but well done MrJoshua !

I hope it was not to hard for you to watch it though...

Here's an entire orchestra playing the same piece, 4'33" by John Cage :

I've liked many of your past videos and songs, but this one is my favorite. The song's most memorable and everything's even more charming than usual.

Wow thanks a lot for this comment!

We had to film it this way because we were separated by an ocean. So each of us recorded their video on their own. It was a real pain to make it sound together because the 4 devices are not synchronized in any way.

another entertaining song and video. liked and subscribed.
