How can I create/import my own samples (not drum) to the OP-1?

Okay, thanks. Was hoping there was utility for this, what with the reverse engineering of the entire firmware and all.

What i found is u can take wav files and get itunes to convert them to aiff’s. With audacity, u can shave them down so u can fit more in ur op1. this has been awesome for me, since there are sooooo many samples online. just google free wav samples. mind u, these all remain as samples.

Hope this helps.

Anyone know how to make their own patches?

Hello, I know it’s been a handful of years since the original post, but I was wondering what you could share from working on this project!

I’m interested in building my own application around the OP-1/OP-Z file format, and my first goal is to try and recreate the functionality of the OP-1 drum utility. For this, I’d like to understand how to insert the start/stop end points into the metadata.

Any information about how to encode the metadata would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like Jeremy at red_means_recording has a comprehensive video on this for both custom drumkits and synths https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYN2AlTEyOY
