When OP1-F is set to syncronize to MIDI clock, sequencers on “HOLD” starts on it’s own a few seconds after incoming MIDI clock stops.
This is not the case in OP1-original which, waits for MIDI clock to start.
The OP1-original’s behaviour is much better when working with other devices. E.g. you have a sequence set on the Endless, leave it on “HOLD” and start external device, the sequencer will start and will be perfectly in sync.
If you do the same on OP1-filed, it automatically starts the sequencer a few seconds after external MIDI clock is stopped. Starting external clock source under this state will lock OP1-F tempo, but not the phase/spp. The MIDI Start message won’t bring the sequencer back to the top.
You have to manually press a key or turn the “HOLD” dial on a downbeat to lock the position.
So it’s basically impossible to lock to external MIDI start/stop cleanly.
Is there an option or setting to make OP1-F work like the old OP1-original? OP-Z also works correctly, waits incoming start/stop.
Please add the option not to start sequencer while “HOLD” and “EXT” to make it synchronize easier with external devices.
