NAMM 2016, who's going? What's on the radar?

OB-6 is the Synth gas is made of.

I know @Virtual_Flannel !! Sooooo sexy (the synth that is): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTbJpVlRI_o&feature=youtu.be&app=desktop

Not entirely in tune with other videos here, but I just learned that Deardyman ditched all his hardware in favor of custom-built system distributed across three iPads. Kind of sad. He is the main reason I own Kaoss Pad 3.

Heh, MatrixBrute looks like it will cost a million dollars.

After watching couple of videos I’m finally beginning to get what Overbridge is all about. I’m unlikely to use it, so I wasn’t paying much attention, but my hat is off to Elektron. The level of their engineering skills is amazing. The idea of using USB to seamlessly sync everything is simple, and yet very difficult to pull off in reality. The fact that they are doing it with analog devices and then interfacing with them through VST plugins shows how out-of-the-box their thinking really is. The fact that they are giving it away for free as a way to sell other products is mind-blowing. Heh, I almost wish they did industrial automation. They would totally kick ass of every vendor in existence.

Also, yay for new features in Analog Four/Keys/Rytm. Not sure about probabilistic triggers, but fractional ones are a huge boon for making more complex (or seemingly longer) patterns. Can’t wait to try the new tuned LFO as well.

Totally agree on this. I use OB only for recording but it’s already very useful at this level

And OB + upgrades for free shows some spirit, hearts to Elektron !

yeah elektron and te giving their biggest supporters lots of love with the free updates

Any update from TE would be welcomed...

MatrixBrute is not cheap but it does cost less than the OB-6.

it also has 1/6th the voices

In any case, neither costs “a million”

Any news on that hyped Roland sampler?

Man, I really should’ve went to this years NAMM, sooo much modular eurorack goodness oozing out of booths in every which direction.

Strymon + Eurorack = maxed out credit card, again.

Saw this on Reddit's NAMM thread:

TL; couldn’t be bothered to look - Strymon releasing something not a pedal (possible Euro?)

Also, a Roland A-01 boutique sized module for CV and some whacky 8-bit synth? o.O
http://www.roland.com/products/a-01/

Definitely going to be a Strymon euro entry. There’s a eurorack section on their site with the product name Generalissimo. Some people are speculating it’s going to be a a euro version of their Brigadier delay.

I would love love love an El Cap or Deco in euro though.

plus 1 for Deco. How about a Bluesky too??

@MadeUpMonster that’s what I’m waiting for, keep checking but nothing yet…
Might not happen at namm now!

It’ll be interesting to see how Gary Hall, who is still working on the 4ms Dual Looping Delay Euro module, responds to Strymon’s Euro venture. He’s been taking in feature requests and such on the MW forum(s). Gary designed the Lexicon PCM-42 delay.

This looks like a great companion to the OP-1, especially for squeezing more expressiveness out of it. Has CV, MIDI, and USB connections.

Someone already mentioned it, but I found a good video. Volca FM looks very interesting:
