OP-1 in your live setup

Hey all. Recently I finally gathered my live setup and started to wonder how you all use your Operator in the live setup?

It was a surprise to me, that its actually pretty fun to use OP as a loopers for recording external stuff and run it more like a effects + eq + compressor for external gear.
I previously jammed with my friends, used pattern sequencer to edit drum loop on the fly.
OP was mostly recording device for me, so it would be really interesting to hear how you use it in your live setups.

Yep, love using my OP in the new live rig. I use it as a looper/drum machine/synth for “loose” vibes, alongside a Circuit which is the “quant” vibe. I really like the mix of both live. I haven’t successfully synced them up yet via MIDI (PITA) so I’ve been doing it the old-school way: hitting play at the right time, then changing tempos/loop brace on the fly during transitions. Great fun

I bought my OP-1 immediately after seeing Emperor X live. He has an OP-1 velcroed to the front of his acoustic guitar and goes between just using the internal mic and effects on his guitar (skip to 2:50) –

– or just straight up shuffling through loops on the Tape and singing along –

Super inspiring and a good example of the kind of crazy crap you can do with this tool.
