Iām much more a guitar player but have been using the OP-1 mostly to put some backing sounds on my songs. I do what I describe as ambient, cinematic instrumentals on guitar. Hereās one from Friday night. I was in the middle of also adding some percussion sounds from the OP-1 when I started having the doubling issue I posted about in another thread, so I cut my losses and mixed it without any percussion. Probably sounding better that way anyways. The OP-1 comes in in the final chorus/movement, around 3:10 through to the end, and it uses the XYZ Files patch or whatever that one is called:

Forgot, thereās one other that I used the OP-1 on, which runs as a background sound throughout the entire track. The OP-1 is going through some pedals including the Hologram Electronics Dream Sequence pedal and then looped while I play guitar over it. Apologies for iPhone sound quality:

Hey there. Hereās my latest track. Fully made on OP-1, with some post-processing of album record afterwards in ableton. The time iāve spent to work with that album recordā¦ I couldāve just taken multitrack and come up with better results.

Itās a Les Paul (bridge pick-up) into an Apogee Jam pro into an Ipad mini 4 running Bias Amp into the line in of the OP1.
I canāt remember the Bias Amp signal chain but is was something like:
Guitar -> Comp -> DS-1-like drive set mostly as a boost -> Mesa Boogie amp sim with a good amount of drive -> Very slight and low Chorus -> Delay -> Reverb -> EQ with a huge boost on higher frequencies (5k maybe?) and a slight cut on bass, flat middle

@LyingDalai - thanks for the kind words. iāve recently been rediscovering my vinyl collection as well as adding to it with a dusty finger type of vibe. both new tracks use some classic drum break samples from those endeavors. that along with a long stint with my trusty OP-1 out-of-commision due to lack of a working HP jack, and then winter flu viruses knocking out my family one-by-one for weeks at a timeā¦iām feeling a little less creativeā¦but a little more inspired by digging through stacks of wax. i hope that means more to come in the very near future. i could use some long, warm and sunny afternoons right about now.
