Here's a process video I made over the weekend with some samples provided by Soundcloud user Deaves (https://soundcloud.com/cameron-deaves-1). I really wanted to make something chill to unwind after the last few weeks of upheaval, and it turned out he provided a great vocal sample that ended up making a sublime melody.

Still very much in love with the beta OS features, especially the arp. I realized working on this that I haven't scratched the surface of melodic posibilities with it, and that's an awesome thing.

Jeremy Blake YOU ARE AWESOME! Love your music. You inspire me. Thanks!

I need these samples!
Which one was at around 8:17 on the Arp?

That was a preset from the beta OS. I can try and dig up the session and see if I have it saved!

I will never get tired of sampling vinyl into this thing.

Also, who’s excited that Moonweed is still a preset in the new OS?! It was one of my all time favorites from back in the day… was worried it was going to be wiped.

Woah, I think this may be my fav from you. Very happy BMSR vibes, that rev vocal sample is beyond tight. Gritty and melodic.

@jjbbllkk Thanks a lot man! Love BMSR

Just did my first OP-1 video!

I’m trying to master a raw, live side of this mystical musical beast, so without any prerecorded sounds or patterns, and building a song live. It is a bit limiting to what I can accomplish when compared with other “traditional” looping platforms, but I’m quite happy with what I’ve done here. Excuse my sloppiness!

@Owlex killer jam right there!

@Owlex great performance!

great video @owlex

This new channel keeps popping up on my page... Is it a bot? :D

Seems like it. It’s stealing videos and reposting them, with the original title appended after the comma. Maybe the same bot that hit @jjbbllkk before?

Ugh, why is this even a thing.

Making loops in the OP-1 to use in Ableton : a shitty, shitty tutorial!

How do you prepare your samples mate, if gathered from different sources? i.e. key and tempo. these sound great!

Did a quick instagram video over lunch. I was a bit wary of taking out a £700 piece of gear + overpriced iPhone out on a fairly busy street but I quickly realised that people don’t give a damn :slight_smile:
