Hey @flexbusterman I liking that gig a lot. You make alot of nice noise with jus those two . I guess you drop computer files onto OP-1 or is that created on OP?
That’s well good, @speckdrum! Love how you can see the process of a creating a nice loop from scratch and how everything’s added in live. And love all those dj style tricks with the M buttons and the forward/stop/reverse buttons. Need to learn some of those tricks! Top stuff.
@ghostly606 yeah you're right, not totally improv... but mostly... that is to say i filled some glasses with water til the pitch was right, figured which sounds would match together, rehearsed a couple of times and then did a take.
i guess i'm trying to reach a balance between preparing and improvising... like, you know the chords and the structure, and everything else is a bit of a movable feast. still a work in progress though. :)
@speckdrum Those are the best improvisations imo. Being able to adapt to the moment while standing on a solid floor of prepared material… This is the direction I want to take with my new comrade
Hello! It’s been a while since I posted in the forum, but here is a video of me doing a live cover of “I can’t feel my face” with the OP1 and a little Rhodes sound. The song is overplayed, but hearing it so much made me want to get it out of my system. Enjoy!
