Your OP-Z Tracks

Here is the first track I made with the OP-Z only. It’s kind of an instrumental-slow-prog-reggaetone tune made while I was still in LA after Ableton Loop 2018. It’s actually also the first track I’m sharing on the forum after being around for quite a while, never too late I guess

New here and new to Teenage Engineering.

The OP-Z inspired me to finally finish a track. I have been having writer’s block for a long time with other equipment. I made this within the first four days of owning the OP-Z. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Love this track! Very well balanced between the ambient side and the smooth beat. In terms of mixing I would have taken a bit more of low end. It’s not the most convenient thing to do on the OP-Z though, I’m missing a global EQ on this machine (or did I miss it?).

okay, here’s my second attempt

i’ve also spend some time in getting all op-z tracks i was able to find into a soundcloud playlist so i could please my ears with zeee music without interruption. enjoy!

Not mine, only sharing. Love these!

Hello everyone, first post, first track  I hope you like it.
I find motion sequencing a little buggy, often forgetting pattern settings. Still, a very rewarding experience

Nailed it! These are great. Maybe my favourite OP-Z videos / tracks so far. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much!

My mixes are often too muddy so I think I over compensated a little. No proper EQ but there is a master filter on the Master Track. It would be great if TE added another page on the Master Track with a parametric EQ.

… and now for something completely different

“Santa rings” - A Christmas song on OP-Z

Working on this piece on and off for about one week, every time when I felt “that’s it” some new idea came up what other feature of the OP-Z could go into this. So I ended up with build-in engines and custom samples, lots of step components, parameter locks and punch-in effects, 7/8 beat against 8/8, and master track chord progressions for fancy bass lines. At some point I had to stop adding more features because they actually made others randomly drop out supposedly because of processor and/or memory limits.

Hope you enjoy!

My first, somewhat complete track on OP-Z!

I was fascinated by the sparse landscape in Eran Hilleli’s “Z-Land” videopak for the OP-Z so I composed something for it. I hope this happens more… starting with visuals and composing for them. I might actually finish some songs that way. Then jammed with everything playing…out in the woods. This synth is incredibly inspiring to me. I’ve never used anything like it. BTW, I had pretty good luck using the iPhone’s built in screen recording to capture the video and the audio from the OP-Z.

My latest bit of jamming. Have a load of fun with the op-z.
