Just randomly scored a Yamaha DD10 drum machine for £30. The unit is like new, really brand new, like shiny no dust. Madness.

Preordered the DigiTakt March 18th. Stoked I did it so quickly, the unit looks to be a beast, exactly what I am after.

@steveoath Nice! Those are pretty easy to circuit bend. A lot of info out there on what rom leads to use and such. I bought a HR16 a few years back for $10 and bent it. Use it all the time. Lots of fun.

Just ordered the C&G ETC at the expense of selling my slim phatty. Just couldn’t stop thinking about how awesome it could be to sequence from the Octatrack w/ my live hardware rig. Thanks @ludicrouspeed

Dude! That’s rad. Plz post a vid or two / share your thoughts

Bought a Nord Drum 3, though I’m definitely not a drummer. Turns out I still like hitting things with a stick  Also: It’s a synth, not a sampler, so you can tweak some very interesting sounds out of it.

Bastl Kastle will be waiting for me when I get home from work. First Bastl piece in the collection. Excited to get it talking with my other CV gear!

I grabbed a Numark PT-01 Scratch the other week too. Loving it so much.

I’ve been with lots of vinyl but without a turntable for ages, went looking for one and decided to get this little baby to be able to play rectrds and to be able to get back into scratching again.
Kind of makes me wish I’d kept my OP-1 for creating little sample loops/breaks to scratch to now. As it is I’m using it with Push2.

The guy who published the Practice Yo Cuts - Ritchie Ruftone is a local (Edinburgh) guy, he’s a DMC champion. Saw on his instagram him and a few other guys hold scratch sessions at a bar on saturday afternoons so I’m going to try get along to the next one.

@spacetravelmadeeasy yeah my 1210’s and mixer are packed away as I didn’t have the room, then I spotted this on YouTube- decided to get back into scratching as well. Such a great idea and a quickly growing scene. Theres a great mod scene to with 3d printed tone arms and tons of other stuff. Am waiting on a 3rd party fader upgrade- although the switch is really good.

I saw that jam your on about in the pub. You should deffo get to the next!!

@hindsite
I've seen the 3D arm mods.
Which fader upgrade are you going for? I fancy the Jesse Dean one?

MUZAPPERS! Aim For The Flickering Flame!

Bought a bunch of TipTop drum modules, a MixZ, and ordered a Circadian Rhythms.

Moog werkstatt-01 couple weeks ago

I bought a couple of old palm handhelds to run Bhajis Loops and Microbe, I used them back when Bhajis and Microbe first came out, my palm eventually died and I replaced it with a ipad, but actually I vasty prefer Bhajis and Microbe, so I decided to revisit them, even better than I remember. I also bought a couple of Psion Organiser II’s which I will be using to create sounds by programming them in OPL, a kind of BASIC language, I used to do it back in the late 80’s but never kept the files, so I’ll be starting from scratch although it isn’t exactly rocket science, I just need to mod them for audio output which is pretty simple. I also got nanoloop 1.7 for my dmg01 collection, and some drone synths (nova and dronelab) and the bastle kastle and OMSynth prototyping platform, and finally had some Hackaday Logic Noise PCBs made for various diy projects, they were a little pricey but I think they will be quite useful.

^huge fan of bhajis loops here. Created an album on it back in the day. Really easy to create musical glitchy loops with it. Enjoy!

@ghostly606 yeah I used to be on the bhajis garden forum back in the day (can’t remember my handle though) I saw some palm t3 for £10 on ebay and I also got a tx for £25, so thought really a no brainer to get back into it, I originally purchased it before it became freeware, a stylus is much more precise than a finger and even though on horsepower ios apps have many advantages, for actual use and fun Bhajis kicks their butt

Here are a few jams I made using it.

I’m thinking of making a little circuit to allow me to sync the PO’s, nanoloop and Volcas to it, as you probably know there is an option to send clock on one of the audio channels at the expense of stereo, but the clock rate is too fast and not quite hot enough, but I think it will be simple enough to knock something up.

For anyone else who is not familiar with it, more info and download here http://www.chocopoolp.com/

gave in and got a roland tb-03…techno for breakfast
