Just bought me a Shruti-1.

Just bought me a Shruti-1.
I decided to grab an I/O board for the OP-1 from iFixit since they are in stock. Surely this is insurance so that mine will never fail now... :)That's a good idea. I may have to do the same. I wasn't aware of ifixit. Neat site.
I blew my entire year’s gear budget on a Xone '92 mixer, mainly for my decks as I’m bonding with my vinyl again after a while of being separated from it, but hopefully I’ll also use it to bridge the vinyl world and the production world, a la DJ Krush, but not a fraction as talented
Just installed this Synthrotek, Noise Sample and Hold module kit into my Pittsburgh Modular System 1. Its a small 4HP module so it was fairly simple to assemble, but I don’t own a oscilloscope to calibrate it… and I’m not sure what how that works. Am I damaging anything without calibration? Is it worth getting an oscilloscope, or the very least, something for my iDevice?
A bit late to the game but received my PO-12 bought from Collette (via @Andrew) yesterday. Didn’t expect them to be quite so small (a common view) but am quite honestly blown away with how quick and intuitive building patterns is. And the sound! Well done TE (again). Only omission in my view is a mute part feature but that is no doubt discussed in PO specific posts.
That was a TE bought PO-12 @ghostly606
I just re-used collete box
Oh yeah, and a very lovely box it was too!
^ And they smell sooooo good…
@Kites Really sorry to hear about your bad experience with Juno. They solved the problem? Don´t want to look like a fanboy, but in defense of Juno, maybe it came that way from Germany - the power supplies from both Dark Energy and MFB´s MFB-522 are quite generic.
Sheesh, that thing looks nice @Lymtronics. I recognise it, but can’t remember what it is? Spill the beans!
It’s the new Korg Arp Odyssey. I was skeptical that it might sound like the MS20 mini or another korg analogue, but am happy to find that it is unique and rich with character. A small knob at the rear controls the volume of the headphone output which, when routed to the external input via supplied cable, offers fine control of a feedback loop level. A fixed drive setting accessed by a switch on the front panel adds tremendous power to this, and both drive and the level of the feedback loop react wildly with the overall VCA level which itself seems overdriven at its maximum setting. These are territories I was not anticipating having the privilege of exploring.
Brassy stuff and Chameleon bass and other first-hour-with-an-arp sounds are all lovely; robust and classic as you would expect. I’ve mainly used one of the three filter modes so far as changes are drastic enough to scare me off, however happy in my retreat knowing there are broader horizons to explore. I’ll get there.
I just jumped the gun on a used kaoss pad mini2. Could be a nice addition to the portable rig
I just ordered a le strum kit from Lush Projects. I think it’ll be a good edition to the oplab/shruthi/op-1 setup.
^ooh! Let us know how it works out? That’s a really cool little controller.
@xbted Was about to order this a month ago but forgot it. Thanks for reminding med =)
I like the look of le strum but am put off by the fact that it is a kit (I am hopeless with my hands) and the form factor. If this was for sale commercially on the other hand...:
Nice you have the white one! @Lymtronics
I just finished building a Sonic Potions LXR. Was relatively easy, just time consuming since there are so many parts! Thing sounds great!
Just purchased a kit to build the Groovesizer TB2 which should be here this week. And just bought a MicroGranny! So excited!
I’m looking into purchasing a MIDI controller, something simple. Anyone have any recommendations?
Try the OWL firmware from egnouf. Lot of fun @wildfrontiers
