I should maybe emphasize more that they REALLY pick up lint. Drives me nutso. It’s staticky and tough to get off. Still have em on there though…My Pocket Operators just rarely go in my pocket.
i haven’t read too many ppl say they prefer the case tbh lol
It’s kind of a bummer because I like the idea and the fit. I actually prefer the original versions, tailored to each unit because I like the printing on them. I do miss the aesthetic of the bare units. I do like the calculator-like look of them in the cases though. I’ve also taken to wearing one around my neck when I go out sometimes.
Total hipster look lol barf
Anybody tried the DIY see-thru cases from Dich Studios? They look like they might still keep a more tactile feel to the buttons. The glueing of button pieces looks like a PITA tho…
Was sweating those. Dig the look and looks like a cool idea. Yeah the DIY glueing thing worries me a bit.
I got the cases from Dich for Po-33 and 35. Worth it.
Hello!
@pianobar and everyone that is curious about how the SPEAK works with drum samples, just did a quick video sampling the PO-12:

The natural sound of the Rhythm is running inside the SPEAK.
My thoughts: the drum sounds on the SPEAK appears a little noise filtered (makes sense with the process that @punji is describing to us) but is not “thin” - indeed, the kick received a kind of more “organic” texture on it that I like. The hi hat, clap and snare are ok and the agogo (?) is the only one more fucked up.
Don’t think that traditional drum samples are the zone where the PO-35 shines most, but it’s definitely possible, against previous conceptions exposed here, and can even be a interesting textural resource (as with the kick).
@aeoner You’re the man! Thanks a lot, sounds good enough for me, even though I’ll probably get both the SPEAK and KO haha.
