Sadly, it looks like the MX-1 is a usb host for AIRA only.
See Roland, that’s that bullshit. KMI did the same thing with their USB Host widget. Fuck you, and go die somewhere buried with your abomination.

i hate when they don’t do it right… was really happy because of the MX1 but not having a class compliant USB Host ???

Beaststep Pro

I think we broke the TE site
It’s not responding, only the browser line is twinkling!
this is bugging me out. Im sure they are on it, but I geeked out and tweeted them lol. I spent the last 24 hours refreshing the site, now I can’t get it to stop lol!!!
and we’re back to the teaser page.
Beaststep Pro seems pretty dope, the P6 Sequential too, but will cost too boucou too
no polyphonic sequencing on the beatstep pro, though? hmmmm. =<br>

also, 4 bass synths in one as opposed to being intended to be poly. again, seems to sound terrible

wow@virtual_flannel
what is wrong with Akai?
Any word on new workstations at NAMM? Since TE didn't give us an OP-2 (a Microsampler-sized workstation with expanded track count would have rocked) I'm hoping someone gives us a more portable solution (in many ways the OP-1 is too small for comfort). Methinks a Microsampler sized synth/sampler/sequencer workstation would sell nicely. If not, I'm going to have to plunge for a big ass Fantom :-/
I’m actually super stoked about this Korg step sequencer:

no polyphonic sequencing on the beatstep pro, though? hmmmm. =\
oh dear lord… scratch that… throw it in the bin

Sounds like this is what you want. Microkorg size. 4 parts (2 digi, 1 analog, 1 PCM) each with a sequencer track and a vocoder. Sounds like a nice all in one little package.
