This looks like it could be a nice documentary about the “scene” and some great acts. Hope it reaches its funding goal.

And you’re definitely right, I feel like it’s not that hard to find cool women artists, with my very tiny nascent culture in electronic music I can already find a dozen.
Bear in mind the doc is about the 80s tastic genre of “synthwave” rather than a homage to synthersizes per sé.

They left Kaminsky out, thought he was the posterboy for the genre… Wonder which would be the DeLorean of synths?
From what I gather some of the individuals approached refused to do any interviews or appear on screen. They still hint there are more TBC.
Also check out “Synth Brittania” on youtube, for another feature length documentary on synthesizer based music.
