You could treat it more like OP-1, where you have to finish a project, mix it down to the album (or export to computer for more mixing), and delete everything.
There’s more scope for multiple songs at once on the OP-Z, but it’s nice just produce a final mix and move on.
This is a good call. I currently use every pattern as a separate idea but would probably be better to have each project be a full idea and then render/erase. On the op-1 i’d just backup the whole tape, copy the two loops I like the best, erase, then paste those loops at the beginning of the next tape so I could reference what I liked before.
