AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio Wireless+ Ultra Low Latency Wireless Studio Monitor Headphones

I was thinking of getting these for the op-xx

Anyone try them

How flat is the response ?

Anything you can tell me would be great

Thanks

when i had them i only used them with a digitakt and a digitone and i consistently ran into situations where they would crackle and clip at fairly normal volumes. i couldnt drive them very hard. and you need to have the giant receiver jacked into whatever you want to listen to, which was fine for the digi’s but i would find it annoying on a portable thing like the op-1. i honestly couldnt tell you how flat they sound because i almost never used them. super comfortable tho

i have a pair and i love them. i pretty much never mix on headphones, but they sound great for general listening.

the headphone output on the op-1f is so loud that i keep the volume knob turned almost all the way down to not explode my ears. i always use the TMA-2 as normal wired headphones when using them with the op-1.

i keep the receiver plugged into my audio interface and use the tma-2 wirelessly in the studio. i do a lot of acoustic instrument recording, and being able to move around the studio without a long headphone cable getting tangled up and also not having to worry about latency has simplified my workflow in a big way.

that said, if you’re not within line-of-sight of the receiver then the signal will crackle and pop and make loud distorted noises which is really annoying.

and since they also work as bluetooth headphones you can use them in any situation. very versatile headphones for lots of situations

this is interesting, im pretty such mine was within line of sight when mine crackled and popped, my apartment wasnt big enough not to be lol. oh well, i sold mine on to somebody else who lost their pair in a fire so im sure theyre being used

I want to know if these are flat enough to mix and master with? I hear good things about them but I already have Beats Studio pro. I wonder if these are better ?

i don’t know how the beats studio pro compare, but the tma-2 aren’t very flat. they have a big boost in the low end.

whichever headphones you’ve listened to the most are going to be the best ones for mixing, since you’re more familiar with the way they sound
