Almost all of the keys on my op-xy stopped working

nothing happened, it just sat powered off on my desk for the past 12 days or so. i turned it on and almost all of the keys don’t work.

something is def wrong, only a few keys work

none of my presets are present either (the shift key and instrument #1 key do work, but my presets are gone)

i thought to do a factory reset but the com key doesn’t work either and i can’t access te boot

hopefully te support will come through. i’m sure some of you have experience with them, any helpful info you can share is appreciated… i haven’t contacted support yet, i imagine i’ll have to attach some pics and video and its just too late at night to do it right now, but tomorrow

Huge bummer. Yeah send a video of it in action (or lack of). They will probably recommend you bring back to the original retailer for a swap since it’s the least painful — for you I think. It’s mostly helpful if you bought it locally which I think I’ll do with TE stuff from now on. Otherwise you just have to ship it off (they provide the label and cover the cost) then the retailer can ship you a new one once TE confirms your broken one is on the way. It still requires going through the retailer for most contact tho. They might have specific procedures too.

Good luck tho - they are good at making it right just give a few days between responses.

thanks, i contacted support and sent a video and yeah, they have been responsive and friendly so far. like you said, they provide a shipping label, etc.

i purchased directly from te originally and don’t really see an advantage to purchasing through a retailer, unless its amazon, or some retailer that you get some credit or cash back for. i guess it just depends on the situation

i’m going to drop it off to ship today and see how it goes, but so far they seem very friendly and receptive

might just be something like a ribbon cable went askew
and needs to be reseated

received a new unit today. te support was great, was easy, cheers for honoring the warranty after 10 months.

very odd though, cuz like i said nothing happened, nothing dropped, nothing spilled. very strange
