Ambient music written on OP1-field

Hey everyone! I wrote a new ambient piece on op1 field for a video I shot in Cyprus moutains, Troodos. It is mid-winter here, which is always perfect for ambient music. Hope you like it! https://youtu.be/P48rwhxQWg0?si=SPZTpC7GLOfTFBJw

Very nice. Captured the essence well!

Tell me about about your process. Did you produce it completely on the field?

Thank you very much!

Of course! Yes, the track was produced and recorded internally on the OP-1 Field, with only the mastering done in Ableton Live (Bloom for EQ corrections + Ozone for overall volume).

My process for this one was:

  1. I recorded individual parts across 1–4 tracks (piano, pad, synth deep in the mix, and bass). I used the cassette tape (Porta Studio icon) for this one.
  2. Next, I worked on the song structure by cutting many pieces and arranging them here and there.
  3. Then I resampled the master down to a single track, which gave me a fresh free track for the acoustic guitar.
  4. Finally, I recorded my acoustic guitar straight into the mic using the Amp Synth.
