When playing live I would like to have an extra
set of pads on the side to ease up transitions (oneshots),
that would be plugged into the OP line-in. I have seen numerous apps
out there but I need something simple, no internal FX needed, that
doesn’t take too much space app-wise but most importantly, that allows me to import my samples, has more
than one bank of 16 pads and is super-stable.

Otherwise is the Akai MPX8 a good machine? I have read mixed reviews.
