Anyone doing vocals with OP1?

This is a cover in a chiptune style that I did for a compilation. Vocals are recorded with the onboard mic.

Супер, Генсек!!! I’m a big fan of Nico  Great cover.

Спасибо @Vince_Noir ! I’m glad you like it

Any device/app that has similar effects? I’ve started to enjoy using the OP-1 effects on everything including vocals… But I don’t want to keep straining my machine for something that’s not strictly OP-1.

Really LOVE the effects, wish they would have put them on a PO!

I did a cover for one of our battles. It was really hard because I wanted subtle effects on the vocals and resorted to recording bits of tape under 12 seconds into the drum sampler over and over again until they sounded acceptable. https://soundcloud.com/lymtronics/blue-monday-op-1
Totally awesome and inspiring. Love hearing these kinds of things for which the OP-1 is capable.

Agreed! Normally I don’t care for a cover being nearly identical to the source material, but this is expertly done.

Of all the gr9 things about that cover, one of the standouts for me was the awesome, bright / fizzy but not harsh open hihat.

You did that w/ the internal mic? Holy Schnapps.

We’re out way close? Clever to record into the drum sampler, that way you get FX, plus no CPU noise like when you record direct to tape.

Nice work, dude. How’d you get the delay on the vocal? I know there’s a couple of ways to do it.

Wow @Lymtronics ,somone said their favorite cover.
Can I say one of my favorite OP-1 only tacks ever!
Totally staggering use of the synth sounds.
