Anyone else having really weird issues with saved projects on OP-XY?

It’s kind of hard to explain what’s going on here, but the simplified version is that some of my projects are not opening up in the same state that I saved them. They’re not opening up in a state that I have ever even heard them before. It seems like when I try to save punch-in effects to a certain pattern, those punch in fx are being added onto every pattern. But sometimes only the left side (the drums) will copy over onto other patterns, and the right side (the melodics) will be doing something that not even the punch in fx cause them to do. The melodic side just seems to be cutting itself into 1/4 notes, rather than playing any notes held longer than 1/4th. Of course this is only happening on the big projects that I have. been putting a lot of time into.

One of my favorite things is how you can record punch in fx to a pattern, that’s what I loved so much about the OP-Z, but I never came across an issue like this on the op-z… It’s annoying to say the least. Anyone else have anything like this happen? I noticed it this morning, I just updated it, and the problem continues…

I can’t say I’ve had anything like that. I’ve not updated to 1.0.38 yet, and in fact only updated to 1.0.36 yesterday morning, just a few hours before they dropped 1.0.38.

Have you tried loading an earlier version of your projects from the history option? There might be a slightly earlier version that loads ok. Sure, you might have lost some of your latest work but it might be better than having to scrap a whole corrupted project.

I just discovered the issue… it was all just me not knowing exactly how the arranger worked… I didn’t realize that you press the arranger button twice and you get the auxiliary track patterns. So I was recording an auxiliary pattern, and then changing scenes not knowing that that auxiliary pattern was still playing. I for some reason thought that auxiliary tracks just baked into the specific scenes, I don’t know why. This is a giant false alarm, user error.

I’ll delete this topic in a little bit, I don’t want people thinking that there’s some crazy bug causing this so I’ll leave it up a little longer in case people come back to see that I was just being dumb.

Ah no worries. It might be worth leaving just in case other people make the same mistake.
It’s all part of the learning curve. Glad you figured it out and thanks for posting what it was.

Just a quick follow up. If you into your account to the posts you’ve created, you can change the title of your post by clicking the pen icon next to it.

So you could leave it up but change the title of the post to reflect the fact it’s not a bug.
