To be fair to TE, how exactly would you implement that on the OP-1? It’s not multitimbral so there’s only ever one voice that can be sequenced at a time. Also the layout of the device doesn’t lend itself to having a tactile sequencer.
I don’t mean a literal translation of the opxy but I was thinking perhaps they have either an “op-z emulator” sequencer or op-z “tape” or even maybe just a simple 64 step grid sequencer , not necessarily dependent on step component or triggers or anything.
iow endless sequencer in a more grid/visually logical layout at least
Yeah a 64 step sequencer would be pretty cool or some way to edit the endless sequencer would be nice.
It’s true. Most OP-1 users really appreciate the endless sequencer. But sometimes it’s hard to get what you want without dislocating your fingers. And when the sequence is finished and recorded, I always hesitate before deleting it and starting another one. Adding edit features, memory presets & parameter locks to the endless sequencer would already be a significant improvement.
That feeling of accomplishment is REAL when you manage to get that part into the Endless.
Releasing a ‘plus’ version with a minor updatethat would be only availble on the new device within a year is the definition of being cheated on * ahem-polyend-play-plus *
Improved, way more capable and ‘many missing stuff that’s baked into’ version of op-z after 7 years with proper synths, features doesn’t feel like I’ve been cheated on.
I think they mean cheated as an OP-1 field owner.
