I’ve been trying to create a pleasant modulated delay sound on the op-z but I haven’t had any luck. I don’t think the effects track can route its modulator to delay time (not that delay time is a parameter anyway!), and while you can input timing changes into the sequencer I haven’t managed to find delay times that work well for a modulated sound - they always modulate too far!
Is there possibly a way to slew the timing changes when you enter timing changes to the sequencer? Or are there any other methods of creating a modulated delay sound that I’ve missed?
i think you can by “sequencing” the delay FX track – if you set different steps on that track to different values on the keyboard, for the different values, it will glide up/down to the various values. you can also increase the pattern length for this track so if its happening too fast at the normal 16 steps length, try 2x or 4x pattern length
I’ve worked out how to get a more subtle modulation effect - just using the pitch bend! Using the pitch bend while on the delay FX send gives me the modulated delay sound I was after. Now if only you could record the pitch bend…
