Base Frequency / Musical Key for Imported Synth Samples?

I’m making some custom synth samples. Does anyone know if the OP-Z uses a base musical key for imported samples?

The http://gerotakke.de/op-z-sample/op-z-samples.md.html site has a tool that sets them to use a musical key of A. What happens if you don’t set a musical key for your imported synth samples? Does it default to C?

440hz, it is A. In sample mode you can get a 440hz base note to compare to by hitting track button.
