@Kln Nice!, the melody and its sound reminds me to a russian guy called Nicholas Lem. he does sound design for Elektron, but maybe he also took inspiration from Afx…

Anyway I’m discovering plenty of tricks 
I’ve been pretty busy over the last month and time seems to have flown by. Just realised that the deadline is today, I’m going to extend it another week or so so you guys have more time to get your entries in. I realise how hard this battle is after trying to do a cover of finger bib myself, couldn’t quite get some of the synths right. Was able to do the drums pretty well on the dbox though. Going to have another go and try covering flim this time. Listening back to the entries so far and loving them, the are all awesome!! So i’m going to set the extension on the deadline to the 26th so people have a couple of weekends to play with.

My second attempt was on Delphium from Selected Ambient Works Volume 1, but again, I can’t get the synths just right. Rather than a faithful recreation, I might try a third song and go off the beaten track with it a bit.
In the spirit of AFX just completely ignore the track you remix and give in an original piece of music…
Well, I don’t have much time to enter the battles anymore, but I saw the battle title and it triggered a memory of making a very short homage to Aphex Twin a few years ago. After scouring my hard drive for what seemed like forever and a day - I actually found the file…
