Black Screen / Screen stopped working

hey everyone,

I have an OP-1 (3yo)

my screen just quit working. it was fine about two months ago, when I was using it the last time. Battery was drained full up until today. Recalibrated and charged the battery. everything is working, except the screen.

  • I can access te-boot (at least I think I am able to)
  • usb connection is fine (starting normal, shift + com + 3 → USB drive shows up)
  • firmware update did not fix it
  • I can play with it (play sounds, switch to drums, change sounds with knobs, arpeggiator, etc)
  • LEDs are working as well.
  • battery is fine

Any directions? Will TE help here in any way or should I try to find an engineer who is able to fix this myself?

could be a ribbon cable on the inside?
there are guides on ifixit on how to disassemble the op1
to get underneath
maybe (hopefully) just needs to be reseated…?
