Would you guys recommend resampling multiple tracks to the synth sampler and then recording them back to tape on 1 track for consolidation? Also for pieces longer than 6sec would you record to the record (com) and then play it back/record it to tape? Or are there other ways to consolidate longer pieces?
i like doing it multiple ways depending on the particular moment.
yes those ways are good ways!
u can also lift + drop off the tape and into synth/drum sampler within the time limits of each.
drum sampler is fun for chopping up and tapping out again.
u can also use ear function to mixdown right on the tape to a new tape track.
i don’t often use record (album) because its not always super smooth getting your sound to line back up on the tape.
@docshermsticks “u can also use ear function to mixdown right on the tape to a new tape track.”
Can you elaborate on this technique a bit?
i think it is shift+microphone, in this screen change the input source to ear (looks like an ear).
this sends the audio output back into the input internally so that you can record what u are hearing back to the tape.
on tape screen, microphone button toggles audio input on/off. make sure you turn it back off when u are done!!
