Just received the new op-1 today. Plugged in the USB to charge, opened it up, and turned it on to see if it had any charge to test it out (I’ve been waiting to get one of these for awhile so I was pumped). After it flipping the switch, all that happened was a small crack/pop out of the speaker and then nothing. I assumed it was just a dead battery.
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Have you tried re-installing the firmware (hold down COM when switching on and choose option 1)? Does it enter COM mode? Check here before re-installing: https://www.operator-1.com/index.php?p=/discussion/3440/new-device-won-t-power-on-after-os-upgrade#latest Regarding charging, there are a few posts on the forum with people’s experiences regarding that - charge overnight and also try charging via your computer’s USB as well as something similar to an iPhone charger plug.

Thanks for the info 5Star I will start there. It has been charging for about 12-13 hours now. And I cant seem to even get it to boot or display anything. I assume choosing option 1 would require there to be something visible on the display?
I’d try another way of charging (wallplug or other computer/usb port) and it if wouldn’t work just send it back.
The small noise burst when switching on means there’s still life in it. Try a USB charger with at least 1A output current (computer USB ports aren’t very reliable for charging).
If that doesn’t work, try the battery recalibration procedure: Leave it on for at least a day, so the battery is completely drained. Don’t switch off! Connect to charger and let it charge for at least 6-7 hours, with the power switch set to ON. After that, disconnect USB and restart.
Hey thanks for all your help guys I tried everything you guys suggested. I finally did some troubleshooting with TE support and ultimately they just suggested I warranty it with my retailer so I should have a new on on its way to me this week.
