Colors In Space- OP-XY Ambient Construction Kit

Hey all. I’ve been working on this since the summer and finally finished it up.
An expansive toolkit built for ambient music makers, sound designers, and cinematic explorers. Ambient Construction Kit includes 151 carefully crafted presets—from lush multi-sampled pads to raw tape textures, delicate chimes layered with nature, and expressive foley instruments. Whether you’re sculpting vast soundscapes or intimate moments, this pack gives you the building blocks to shape your own sonic world.

What’s Inside:

• 25 Ambient Pad Presets – Warm, evolving, multi-sampled pads

• 25 Composite Presets – Plucked, layered synths and textured tones

• 10 Digitone 2 Presets – Multi-sampled selections from the Elektron Digitone 2

• 6 Crystal Presets – Shimmering, glassy textures

• 16 Tape Presets – Lo-fi, degraded sampler instruments with character

• 9 Texture Presets – Granular and organic tones

• 18 Chimes + Nature Presets – Bell tones, wind chimes, and field recordings

• 35 Foley Presets – Inside you’ll find 35 sampler presets built from natural recordings—water, wind, leaves, footsteps, distant animals, and environmental textures. These sounds bring an organic, immersive quality to ambient compositions, helping you create atmosphere and depth with real-world tone.

• Miscellaneous – Multi-sampled felt piano, cello, post-rock guitar, granular keys, and more

Breakdown:

• 82 Multi-sampled Presets

• 69 Sampler-based Presets

• 9 folders of deeply curated sound content

Inspired by ambient pioneers and modern textural sound design, this collection is both versatile and uniquely characterful. Build entire worlds or subtle layers—Ambient Construction Kit is your foundation.

To help you explore the sounds, I’ve created 8 separate videos, each showcasing a different folder from the kit. These walkthroughs highlight the range and texture of the presets, offering inspiration and insight into how they can be used in your own projects.

Downloaded it yesterday. Sounds are great. By the way, you reference 8 demo videos, but I only found 7 on youtube. Just curious what the 8th will be.

I need to change that because I ended up putting two of the videos together into one so yeah seven is the correct number. And thanks for all your support! I really appreciate it. I hope you like the sound pack. I’m going to be putting free updates on this one for a while because I have some ideas.

Thanks for the clarification on the videos and I look forward to any updates you feel you might want to add. I think what is there is already fine, but welcome any additions.

Bought it and loving it a lot!

Nice. Thx! Next week I’ll have a nice update for it…

Bought it today, love it!

Curious about the next week update…

All I can say is it’s going to be a game changer. Jk. Actually just more sounds on this update really.
I want to keep going with this kit though. I have so many ideas floating around in my head but I’m not exactly sure how to execute these ideas I have…

I will say my ideas are Projects as oppose to presets as after this next update we will have plenty of presets.

I would love to get my hands on some projects to really see how it is done!

This sound pack is something very special to me—kind of my “baby,” if you will. After working on it since last summer, it’s been amazing to finally share it with you.

To keep building on the Ambient Construction Kit, I’m planning six months of free updates for everyone who purchased it. Here’s what’s coming:

Month 1:

I’ll be adding 50 new presets inspired by the sounds I’ve been exploring in Serum 2. I was genuinely blown away by some of the new sonic possibilities, and I can’t wait to translate that inspiration into new material for the OP-XY.

Month 2:

I’ll be creating layered kits. Using the OP-XY’s ability to link channels together, I’ll layer three tracks to build rich, full-sounding composite instruments. Once again, around 50 new presets will be added.

Month 3:

This month will focus on project files. I’ll create around 50 demo songs showcasing the presets and ideas for how you can use them in your own productions.

Month 4:

This one’s a bit more technical, but very exciting:

I’ll create custom scales for both tracks and projects, similar to how the Digitone 2 organizes scales. This will make it even easier to compose with alternative tunings and moods.

Months 5 & 6:

I’m keeping these open for now—I’d love to hear suggestions from you! Whether it’s more presets, specialized kits, or experimental projects, I’m excited to shape these updates together with the community.

I’d love to see some matching drum-kits for this. Maybe something for Month 5 and 6?

:+1: good idea.

Thanks for the link to the upgrade! Nice work and much appreciated.
