Connecting TX-6 with monitors via XLR

hey guys,

what is your experience with connecting tx-6 with studio monitors having xlr only (in my case pair of Genelec 8010s)? i need to use stereo mini jack on tx-6 and xlr on speaker’s side, but seems that most Y type cable a short on the xlr side with around 15-20 cm only. this will be definitely not enough as my speakers are sitting on both ends of the desk at around 1 meter distance from each other, so what you will advise me in this case?

thanks in advance.

When I need very specific cables I get them made at Redco (I have no soldering gear).

something like this? seems like it has the length u need (2m & 3m)

u could also get a lil mixer in between and keep your monitors plugged into that
maybe depends on how u want your setup to go

i used redco once for some custom cables years ago and they did not last. maybe i was just unlucky. i did it to save money because i was broke at the time, but i just ended up having to replace them. i’m proco all the way now ← best cables

I’ve never had an issue with a Redco made cable. I’ve used them for about six years, I have all my gear hooked up with them. I like the Canare wire with Neutrik connectors. I like ProCo, too, I have a few of their guitar cables.

There is of course this:

and you can extend as needed with regular XLR cables.
