connector board replacement resellers?

headphone jack is acting up again. after adjusting / reaffixing the first replacement board i installed, which fixed a broken jack, it isn’t getting better.

went to ifixit.com to order the replacement part, and they are out-of-stock.

anybody know where else i might order the part from? having no luck searching for it online.

i need one too, I asked TE and they said wait for ifixit to get more stock.

I want it now tho!

I asked to iFixit and they said no plan to on order.

I’m going to try this one (http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/SJ1-3515-SMT-TR-GR/CP1-3515SJGRCT-ND/2296002) Anyone successed with change the part instead the board ?

Thanks for the email.

I’ve checked our inventory, and unfortunately we don’t have any currently on order and we don’t expect to have any more in the foreseeable future. I apologize for the inconvenience. However, if you sign up for the Notify List on the product page you’ll be notified via email as soon as they become available. Though, the wait may be unreasonable.

If it’s time-sensitive, you may want to try PowerBookMedic, Amazon or eBay. If you do manage to get a hold of one, our guides may be able to assist you.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with and thanks again for your interest!

Nice one, Cheers!

Hi all,

I recently had the headphone jack on my OP-1 pop off and partially break at the solder points lifting away from the circuit board.
Unfortunately non repairable as the circuit board is multi layered according to a local electronics repair shop here in Canada.

Contacted Teenage Engineering support about purchasing a replacement board from them directly and this was their response.

teenage engineering replied:

Thank you for your email and sorry for you trouble. We have stopped selling parts from our TE-HQ and we are trying to get some more repair centres around the globe. I have been in contact with Ifixit and we are working on getting some new connector-boards as soon as possible.

Thanks,
teenage engineering support

Just thought I'd let you all know that hopefully they will be able to resupply soon.

Might as well grab a spare one next time they’re in stock.
