Custom Firmware on the OP-1

Still very hyped for it. Decay in HK version is very short compared to what I heard in your version.

Let @rephazer cook:cook::cook:.

I thought the HK release of Father was aligned but guess not. Hope everyone can work together and not rush for the sake of adding things.

it’s cloned from @rephazer presentation on Reddit with instructions towards op1f ā€œmotherā€ performance but now that we’ve him back he may provide it to him for implementation but I think the graphics can’t be this complex… :mechanic:

Awesome, thanks for putting it up! I can’t wait to find some time to start messing with all this new stuff as well :star_struck:

 Sure, I would be happy if you find use of them:) So far they’re more ideas than finished .svg’s. I’m not experienced in coding or vectors, I scetched out the ideas by hand and reworked on them with AI. I could try to make them into vectors or .svg with ai, though. I’m not sure how to hand them over properly. How would you need the files to be exactly? I could try to make them ready with the needed specs

Hmm video has a longer decay from what I heard. Could be wrong:disguised_face:

:open_mouth: didnt know that reddit account was yours! Remember your name from many nice preset packs.

If you can share the code/SVGs I will put it in and have a proper credit!

It’s not a direct copy. It’s described in the release post:

Father: stereo ambience reverb. (Hundekraft interpretation of u/xylograph’s post. Send me the code and I put it in

ah. I see, thanks for your suggestion:wink:. I will try to simplify them, or I think of different concepts in the next ones.

I love them  but on the OG1 I think @Hundekraft did a great job by vectorizing most of the graphics down to the bare minimum in appearance, these engines work great and deliver just enough information to keep track of, like EVA, PEW, SID, ELG etc.

Anyone else have this much Bad space taken up? Did a factory reset on the vanilla 246 firmware before uploading Hundekraft 3.0

Try format drive, and reinstalling firmware.

c64arp and running cloud isn“t a good idea  the effect shows an errormessage and is replaced with filter..can“t choose cloud from the list until i shut the op-1 down..

Seems GIN on hundekraft just isn’t performant enough. It was developed and tested on vanilla 246, but there’s so many other things going on in the custom firmware they I need to try optimise it more.

I’m working on it.

it’s totally fine for finger drumming but once a sequencer or some fx / polyphonic voices come into play it’s going a bit downhill..it’s good that it does it so we have that reality check at hand to see what’s important to optimize :woman_getting_massage:

the engine and their edit pages are top notch with all these parameters to handle the core, even tho the tonic pocket operator is the official hardware to this it can only play a certain ā€œsnapshotā€ without having access to the engine at the same time, that is crazy advanced in comparison :racing_car:

it does it also when nothing is running and you wiggle the controls

3.0.1

  • Amp: new optional live-input engine with Volume, Comp, Tone and Drive, plus a T2 tuner. (Hundekraft; workflow inspired by Teenage Engineering’s OP-1 Field)

  • EVA: restored the radio beep’s level while keeping the choir level unchanged. (Hundekraft)

  • Oxbow: reduced synthesis processing cost and improved arithmetic safety at high resonance; added active control names and values for Cutoff, Env and the pushed Wave, Filter and Drive controls. (Hundekraft, based on zvenson’s OberVave)

  • Workshop and manual: updated selection counts, credits, Amp setup instructions and screenshots; simplified the player manual and added a standalone plugin development guide. (Hundekraft; Father concept and visual reference by xylograph)

oh look there’s an update with a new engine :mechanic:

Oxbow sounds great but the graphics are way too much. Appreciate the added text, however it’s tiny.
