Definitive list of OP-1(F) companion software

Here’s a list of all OP-1(F) companion software.

“OP-1 only” means that to my best knowledge, OP-1F stereo patches are not supported. Please correct any mistakes in the list, and tell me if you have any additions!

OP-1F only

OP-1F and OP-1

There is also LFO-buddy by Metthew Rayfield, to control midi LFO In-browser:

Definitely for OG, don’t know about the field, though.

Thanks, added to the list! I think the top post can only be edited for a while, so it would be nice if one of the admins could make it a wiki post so that everybody can edit it in the future.

Thanks, added!

Wow I wish I knew about some of these earlier! I’ll have to see which one can possibly work on iPadOS.

Is there something for the TP-7? :victory_hand:

I really wish this app worked with the OP-1F and MTP.

Bummer according to the reviews it might not even work that well with the og Op-1. AND for some reason there’s a new subscription in app purchase now, I don’t
remember that!

this creates wave slices out of your tapes to use in DAW. Huge game changer.

Thanks @ktorunk45, added to the list. I’d need the reverse of this: create tape tracks and slices based on a bunch of sample files. I already started hacking on this, hopefully it’s not too hard. At least the tape.json seems to be pretty straightforward.

@Kites: I didn’t add the iOS app to the list since based on your description it’s a bit suspect?

You know I tested it with the Op-1 Field and it kind of works. You have to mount the Op-1 f in disk mode instead of MTP and you can at least transfer patches and samples.

I didn’t even realise OP-1F supports regular disk mode as well! OK, that’s good to know. Maybe I’ll test it before I’ll add it to the list. Or: anybody know what’s the difference between the free and the subscription tiers? Is it usable without the monthly payment?

Yeah when you go into the MIDI, control, list, and MTP menu (Shift + COM) just hold down Shift and you’ll see MTP turn into Disk. (Shift + 4 to enter Disk mode).

I bought that app for my ipad years ago for around $8. Might be worth $4.99 subscription if you want to test it out and cancel it if it’s too buggy. There is a section to install and preview patches (from OP1.fun) within the app.

Other official TE apps:

  • FieldKit macOS app by TE for transferring files via MTP
  • Web Update Utility for installing firmware updates from a Web MIDI compatible browser

Thanks for these. Unfortunately I can’t edit the topic starter any more. @dimi3 or other mods, could you make the first post a wiki, so that anyone can edit it and we could keep on adding info on OP-1 software?

There WAS OP1 Manager on iPhone/iPad and the guy behind it was looking for encouragement to continue. I’d love to have this app working for backups and transferring presets.

Ok, @yellow_eyez kindly converted the first post to a wiki, so it’s now editable by anyone! I just updated it.

Note that there is an issue with stereo AIFF files (length is doubled), WAV is a better option.
