delay pedal recommendation

I’m researching a compact delay pedal for the microbrute.

So far I have found

Rowin Tape Echo
Rowin Delay
Mooer Reecho <- my favorite so far
Mooer Repeater
Mooer Echolizer
Mooer Ana Echo
Donner Yellow fall
TC Electronics Flashback Mini

Any others I could look at?

Any recommendation/experience/opinions on the above?

Can’t beat the Strymon El Capistan in my opinion.

I was gonna say same thing  Dunno if it qualifies as ‘compact’ but amazing pedal.

Been gassing for a Tonal Recall for a while now…Super expensive last time I checked tho :frowning:

If desk space isn’t super tight I’d also recommend to consider an Organelle. Some insane delays/granular/weirdo patches on there these days and tons else…

Srtymon are a tad over my budget  but having seen some vids i know what you mean

Techniguitare Custom Delay is amazing. Sounds great and you can even build it yourself.

Perfect addition to a mono synth, IMO.

I honestly think for the budget you have to get a Zoom MS-70CDR.

@Artsutanov

I have one and didn-t-like-the-zoom-ms70-cdr

I like the MS-70, made some great sounding patches on it but it’s crap for live tweaking.

I’m quite tempted to pick up a Boss TE-2 Tera Echo, stereo and sounds great on synths.

Digital: EHX Stereo Memory Man + Hazarai
Analog: MXR Carbon Copy
Dirt cheap: monotron delay
Expensive: Eventide Timefactor

TC Electronic Flashback 2

Couldn’t agree more.

I know it’s not high end but Monoprice has a mini delay pedal for $29. I’ve never used one but always tempted when placing orders.

Earthquaker Devices has some nice ones, including reverb/delay combo like the Dispatch Master. If you want/need both I’d go with this.

Otherwise the TC Electronics above seem hard to beat at that price.
El Capitan can be worth a stretch though, if only for the AMAZING stereo image.

I’m looking into the subject to offer one for a friend’s birthday and I think I’ll go with the Dispatch Master. They are some deals in the US on Reverb (unfortunately not in EU…)

Get a converted Marantz tape deck - it makes a lovely realistic space echo

I love the Dispatch Master. It’s a beautiful, musical pedal with a nice digital delay and lush reverb. However it just does one glorious version of each.

If it’s analog delay you are after, my favorite is the Moog Minifooger Delay.

For a swiss army knife of a digital pedal with analog modeling, the Flashback is nice.

This has been fun for me and you can't beat the price.

Behringer Vintage Delay VD400 $24.99

Damn, that looks nice. Am I understanding the price correctly at $850?
