Hi,
My experience is that synth effects produce significantly worse results than their master stereo counterparts. Let’s say the Spring reverb. On master it produces nice and smooth reverb sound. However if I remove that from master, go back to synth and turn Spring on there applying the same settings on it, I get a lower quality, somewhat noisy, muddy result.
Does this kind of difference in sound quality between the mono and stereo effects come from the design? Can it happen because of left and right channels are summed? Is there a way to improve the quality of effects on the mono side?
Thanks.

Ok, I’ve found it: practicing
Master FX certainly do sound much better than their mono counterparts, especially the spring, phone, and CWO. I love the bits of random stereo fx they add!
