EP-133 Polyphony and MIDI

As I understand it, the EP-133 has a polyphony limit of six stereo voices and 12 mono voices.
My question is: Do MIDI notes (sent to an external synth) count as part of the polyphony note limitations?
Thanks

i’m not sure there is a way to separate the internal sound engine from the midi output is there?
maybe setting hte sample to an empty slot or something?

As long as they don’t have a sample loaded, they don’t count against the limit. Also, the MIDI polyphony and resolution both seem to be very high. Haven’t tested it extensively though.

You could set it to an empty slot or just hold Sound and press 0, which will make it a blank pad. Even on a blank pad you can open up Keys mode and use it as a polyphonic MIDI track if you set an outgoing MIDI channel for that pad (Sound Edit → MID → X knob)

thanks jt. that is great fcken news.
