This is probably a pretty straightforward question, but thought I'd check before making a mess of anything!
If you clear all tracks by lifting them, but then put them back in shortly afterwards, will the EQ and Master settings remain?
And if you completely erase the tape, will the EQ and Master settings be totally reset?
The master settings stay the same.

Is there a way to reset master and EQ settings then so they go back to factory settings when you dump a track onto a DAW and start totally afresh? Or is it just a case of tweaking them to each particular track?
You can do a factory reset but that resets everything. Otherwise you do it manually. The EQ settings can be reset using the red knob. Surely shift + encoder press could be used if TE are listening?
