This is how my OP-1 appears on my desktop every time I plug it in.
I was too lazy to cut out the corners as well but I think it's fine for the time being. It adds that little bit of extra flair.
You can right click the OP-1 on the desktop and click get info. Then you'll need to drag a .icns file on top of the current icon and it should change.

Great idea! The corner thing was driving me nuts, so I fixed it. It’s a PNG, so just open it in Preview, copy and then get info on the OP-1, select the generic icon and hit paste.

Guys, I was so hyped for this, but when I unplug/replug it goes back to boring old icon :’(

I can’t tell if it’s an issue with High Sierra or the OP-1 but I have the same problem. I can’t get the custom icon to stick.
