Field Series

The manual is indeed very sparse! TE’s original OP-1 videos on YouTube are a good start, about 12 short videos, and the tutorials Red Means Recording did on YouTube also. There are lots of little tricks you can pickup from those and just watching is enough to give ideas. The other videos on YouTube people have done showing live looping recording of piano and guitar etc are useful too.

respect!!! what you thinking for an op-z field? i also heard there will be another mid-range product coming out. possibly higher than the pocket operators in terms of price. any predictions there?

my original prediction was that the field line would be a series of mostly new products baring the op-1f, and with recent news of the field series being complete, i think if there are plans for a op-zf, it definitely was not part of their original field concept.

But i do believe they are probably working on a new op-z (i think you mentioned news on that actually) but whether it is a field device or its own thing we will have to wait and see.

After the field line of products my prediction is they will aggressively pursue mid-range/budget products, to counteract their current perception as a “luxury” brand; so a new op-z, po’s and new products that are in that more reasonable price bubble would definitely have an impact on the current perception of TE; hell maybe even a whole new system of products aimed at those on a budget

but at the same time i dont see TE as that kind of company, there are more likely to do exactly what they want or what interests them regardless of public perception, and i guess thats what makes them kinda unpredictable and exciting.
