Firmware version 1.0.32

  • fix corrupted files when exporting via mtp

  • remove empty preset folders from sample browser

  • fix copying drum key to empty target key

  • fix bug where certain samples intermittently wouldn’t play

  • fix bar note length knob

  • add project “save as” (shift + M2)

  • stop currently playing sample when browsing samples

  • default longer samples to gate instead of one shot

  • remember the last active song when entering/exiting song mode

  • prevent shift + note shortcut to punch in effects when using external midi

  • fix clear animation for auxilary track patterns

  • fix rare preset browser crash

note: the previous firmware (1.0.29) has a bug that can corrupt the files that gets copied from the OP-XY via MTP. any file larger than 64 KB was at risk of getting corrupted. we recommend updating to the latest firmware as soon as possible. also, be aware that any backups made with 1.0.29 may contain corrupt files.

Seems like every two weeks on Tuesday they’ve been giving us an update, nice.

Imagine if they’d released it this summer it’d be borderline perfect. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
Cheap shot aside I’m relieved that T.E are continuing to improve this little box of fun.

And a crash

Hopefully not with this update - fingers crossed

Anyone else still having an issue with corrupt files?

I’m not able to copy presets from my op-xy to my mac (for backup purposes) via mtp… projects and samples seem to work fine though.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a more easily accessible battery meter?

I’ve not tried with version 1.0.32 yet. I thought this was meant to be fixed with this update.

I don’t have own synth presets, but a lot of multisample presets. And these were transferred to my Mac without any problems (unlike before).

Sure, but with battery life this good… I don’t mind. And there is a warning that happens for low battery.

did you try a factory reset?

some months ago i had a weird bug where there was a constant quiet-but-audible clicking noise from my xy. at first i thought it was an lfo, but it wasn’t. in fact, it was the tempo knob that would make the clicking faster or shorter. i thought it was firmware related at the time, maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t. i did a factory reset and it disappeared and hasn’t reappeared since. really strange. i didn’t post or submit a report about it because its gone and hasn’t appeared since. but maybe try a factory reset?

Anyone else crashing ever since updating to 1.0.32? Mine has crashed four times today so far. It’s the screen with all the writing all over it, I’m sure you know what I mean. I experienced it a lot on the OG Op-1, mainly when trying to load samples onto it. Almost every time the OG OP1 would crash. I haven’t experienced it once on the OP1field. But now, with my OP-Xy, it’s been happening almost every hour. I won’t even be doing anything, I could leave it alone for ten minutes without touching it and then out of nowhere it will crash. I have about 20 days left to return it if that’s what I decide to do… thinking hard about it!

No crashes for me yet. Only used 1.0.32 for about 4 hours so far. Very shortish sessions over a few days though.

—— a few days later ——

The factory init bug is back for me as well now. 4 times in a row. Nothing lost, just the system settings and once the project name as well

It’s running really good over here, even using lots of my own samples. Had one issue with the Factory Init bug resetting system settings, but otherwise no issues at all in a week of heavy use. Whew!

mine has crashed a few times on 1.0.32, only when it was left alone with nothing happening on it for a while. i would just return and see the crash text all over the screen.

As I wrote earlier I had gotten a crash with this firmware in a similar situation leaving the device alone for a while.

Spoke a little too soon, just had the Factory Init bug again when powering on. Aside from wiping my system settings (no big deal for me) it also reset my current project name to “unnamed” as well. Again, small bug, but annoying.

I appreciate the autosave because. so far I haven’t lost any work. Earlier I did accidentally wipe pretty much my whole project because I couldn’t get the sound to work properly… turns out that I accidentally had an effect turned on on my SP404, which is what I’m running my XY into. Hahah it took me like 45 very frustrating minutes trying to figure out where this Lofi bit crushed echo was coming from.

Using 1.0.32 and experiencing crashes, the Factory Init bug plus the deletion of all scenes in a song when cloning a scene.

My first impression of 1.0.32 was good. After a few days, however, a few errors occurred.

Occasionally the factory init bug occurs
The user folder appears twice in the sample browser
Once my XY crashed … without any interaction
If I create a new project but do not save it, the previous project is active again after switching on

These are not really bad issues, but I don’t really have confidence in XY’s software yet.
