Hi all! I made a free sample organizer and drum kit builder for the OP1 and OP1F: earthwire
If you have a ton of sample material / raw audio on a computer for example this is a great tool to turn that into a kit for an OP1! You can also use free samples from online, or a combination of the two. Additionally, you can import some of your existing kits from an op1 and edit them. It’s a free tool and I welcome any feedback or support, as I am a small time maker / hobbyist and OP enthusiast.
I’ve said it in private but I’ll say it again here: this is a GREAT tool. Very simple to use and does exactly what I wish I could do directly on the machine. As someone with dozens of homemade kits (mostly chopped up drum breaks) that are meant to be played with all clips as part of the same choke group, I was frustrated by the amount of time that it takes to set every single clip to “G” manually and then save as a quick preset, rename it, and have to go back to the computer to move it back to its folder.
With this tool I was able to edit my entire library of 100+ kits in one sitting and just place the folder back on the OP-1F, and now all my kits are ready to load and play the way they’re supposed to!
I especially appreciate that it’s available for free and that @idw3d is open to suggestions and feedback! Thanks a lot.
Haven’t tried it yet but next time I’m building a custom kit, I’ll give it a shot. The web i/o looks super tidy and the freesounds integration is pretty damn cool.
