How is ios integration? I had an Ipad in the past; wonderful bit of music kit.
is it essential? how is performance of the new 2018 <300 ipad?
I see they are switching to usb C thats prolly worth waiting for…
I read @docshermsticks (or someone else) only used his ios device for the first 15min, so probably its not mandatory.
In my opinion screen is not really needed at all. I watched Cuckoo’s super demo before release which gave me a pretty clear idea of how it works.
Since then I’ve used the screen maybe 2 or 3 times - 1 where I couldn’t find how to put it in drone mode and once to find out what synth engines where which.
I’ve had it for about a month now and haven’t spent lots and lots of time with it (maybe 15 mins most days) but I do also have an OP-1 so maybe I am used to the TE way of thinking? Don’t know, I reckon you’ll be fine, and if you have any questions, here be the place to ask them.
Re the new iPad. From what I can tell the performance on them is exceptional. Would love to get one - don’t need one - but a very desirable bit of tech.
The app is only needed if you want to use the video lab stuff. I am sure we will see video packs start to show up soon making the app more useful. For now it’s good for learning. It’s and fun to control ios synths.
