Just as I was checking the thread I had a cancellation automated e-mail come through from TE. Perfect timing.
Has anyone else who cancelled their orders for the PO’s (who managed to get them elsewhere) kept their orders for the cases (if they did indeed order them).
I wonder what is actually happening with the TE orders, if they have stock they’re sending out, or if the in-stock was purely optimistic and really even the early orders are going to wait for weeks.
Tbh I have given up hope. Cancelled all but the Factory and redirecting my GAS elsewhere.
Yeah, when the said that I was lucky to have an early order and it would probably take 2 months or less to ship I was kinda expecting the under promise - over deliver thing. But now it seems like I’ll have to wait till April.
Just canceled my order for all 3. Purchased a Moog Sub 37 instead. Not as portable but was “IN-STOCK”. I hope this helps someone in here receive their order sooner. Anyone interested in some Sub 37 patches in the future?
Just canceled my order for all three, too …
I was watching a NAMM video yesterday of a journalist asking questions about the PO’s etc. At the end of the interview he asks the TE employee when they will be available. First he says ‘end of February’ then he changes his mind and says ‘for online orders we are shipping now’.
(The video doesn’t want to play at the portion I picked, skip to 8 minutes in)
Some orders from TE online store have shipped, at least that’s the impression I had from some members here. Though, as you said, not many.
Or maybe you should ask, why TE has not given us a more clear and precise position on that?
They said there would be weekly shipments, but as far as we can tell, that is not happening. And what that April deadline means? Is it begin or end of April? Is it for all pending orders or just those that were sold as “in stock”? How certain it is that we will get it by April? 100%?
My feeling is that they are not being transparent because it is not a nice picture. And I don’t like to think about this very much because it just puts me in a bad mood…
This just in from TE
hello,
thank you very much for your pocket operator order.
we are grateful and overwhelmed by the amount of orders we have received so far. while this situation makes us extremely happy, it also creates a challenge, as we now need to ramp up production as quickly as possible, and still make sure to keep our quality standards.
basically we have sold out much faster than we originally thought, and unfortunately this means a lot of you are waiting for your orders.
we are a small dedicated team and the additional work of sourcing more components, mounting and packing of the units at the factory, as well as shipping from the factory to our warehouses has resulted in increased delivery time. hope you understand our situation and have faith in that we do all we can to be as effective as possible.
we ship out a number of units today, and expect a new delivery from the factory later this week. next week chinese new year is coming up, so production will then be halted for 10 days. after that it’s full speed ahead again.
due to all this, most of you should get your orders within 6-8 weeks. this is a collaboration between teenage engineering and cheap monday, however our distribution networks are separate, meaning existing stock will be divided.
as soon as we have more units ready to be delivered we will confirm your order and let you know about your shipping. all orders will be processed as soon as possible and we look forward to be able to provide you with more specific information. we kindly ask you to remain patient. if you can not wait you are of course entitled to a full refund.
as some of you may have noticed we have had to adjust the eu prices of pocket operators to reflect the constantly strengthening us dollar. naturally as you already ordered you will keep the original lower price. we are super happy about pocket operators and can not wait to get them out to you!
from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your support!

^ That may be a mistake… if I recall correctly, TE acknowledge that the earlist orders were around 182xxx.
The order numbers are not always correlative. Someone here had a 18xxxx order from the 26th, while others were 20xxxx from the 24th. I think it’s impossible to guess who goes first by number.
Since they claim to be shipping in limited quantities again, I am interested to see if anyone else will recieve a shipping confirmation. This forum, while going off topic a few times, has been the most transparent source of information on the situation.
I am still waiting on mine.
Order #: Upper range of 1832xx
1x PO-12
Order confirmation sent around 23:30, Jan 22, which was within 10-20 minutes of the original site launch.
So nobody here has confirmations yet?
Nope.
And that note they sent out today is nothing new either.
Of note is the fact that there is not a shred of apology innthat note. Just excuses.
