No idea how I managed to do that, but my H key is a bit lower than all the other ones, I haven’t moved my XY from its fixed space in my set up for weeks, I would’ve noticed if I had dropped something onto it. It still works 100%, it’s just cosmetics, but it’s still annoys me.
Don’t know how you’d fix it, but I notice the white key above the 7 & 8 seems to have paint damage, which looks like something has struck it. Also there looks like paint damage to the light grey key above the 4 & 5 keys as well.
Is there any chance someone else where you live could have an accidentally damaged it? An object hitting it might have damaged the step sequencer keys and also the key which is sitting lower than it should be.
I just read that thread and what I can’t understand is why anybody would have drinks or whatever near any expensive piece of equipment. When I was still working, I frequently saw people drinking coffee while working on their computers and there often were such spills. I never have spill-able stuff near anything such as the OP-XY or my laptop and therefore have never had that problem. Clearly this isn’t the OP’s issue, but in that linked thread, it was.
nice so it looks like they are cherry mx ulps
if u look at the cherry website
there is a breakdown image of how the switch is put together
might be helpful in determining what is causing your low key
my first guess would be something w/ the lil spring?
or the scissor mechanism that is causing it
