Hiss with user drum samples even when notes aren’t playing?

Devil’s Advocate #2: this many years since launch of the OP1 (and with TE’s track record on it) I doubt that it will ever be fixed

Yup. It is what it is. I’m so happy I put the hours I have into it. So many more XP to gain so I can level up many more times, but since first getting this beast, and being involved in this here community, well it’s changed everything

Oops, I’m fan-boying again…

:v:

Slightly OT - It’s interesting to consider how the gain structure and routing on the Z will compare… not long now

The noise doesn’t phase me, so long as I know — or can at least discover! — where it’s present and where it’s not. I don’t mind setting my expectations to work with it as part of the process. It’s when it’s really non-deterministic that I get a little grumpy about it sometimes.

Of course this is the guy who loves his new Lyra because it’s completely unpredictable!

What’s a Lyra? @<a href=“https://www.operator-1.com/index.php?p=/profile/3377/KF6GPE” class=“Username” style=“margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; outline: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 15px; font-family: “lucida grande”, “Lucida Sans Unicode”, tahoma, sans-serif; vertical-align: baseline; text-decoration-line: none; color: rgb(66, 157, 168); background-color: rgb(252, 252, 255);”>KF6GPE<span style=“color: rgb(37, 38, 30); font-family: “lucida grande”, “Lucida Sans Unicode”, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(252, 252, 255);”>

I wouldn’t be so pessimistic. They improved on several sound glitches over the years.

Wow, that’s intense. I just listened to some of the vids at high volume on my Sony xb30 to drown out the sound of me taking a dump. Worked perfectly

Yup, that’s it. It’s crazy fun, but also very unpredictable so far for me. I’ve been pairing it with a pocket operator; this weekend I’m going to experiment with it and my OP-1. Surprising how good it sounds with crazy stuff.
