Did anyone see Sound Waves on BBC4 last night?
These is a section where the presenter climbs up Mt Stromboli to hear the ultra-sounds of the errupting volcano.
They do it by listening to a 70Hz frequency being modulated by the 2 Hz frequency of the sound waves created by the gigantic chambers inside the volcano!
Now that’s an LFO!
